The No. 16 Bronco men's water polo team will travel to No. 5 UC Berkeley to take on the Bears on Nov. 14 at 2 pm. After going 1-1 in conference play last weekend, the Broncos hope to come out strong against the Bears.  This TV match-up will be live on the Pac-12 Network.

This is the last regular season game before the WWPA Championships in Davis, Calif., where the Broncos received the No. 3 seed.  The Broncos are currently 15-13 and 3-2 in conference.

"Cal is ranked 5th in the nation, and they are a very good team," said Bronco head coach Keith Wilbur.  "This is our last regular season game before playoffs, so we see this as an opportunity to play some great competition that will prepare us conference matchups the following weekend."

Last year, the Broncos suffered a 14-4 loss against the Golden Bears, but hope for strong play to end the regular season. The Cal team is led by head coach Kirk Everist. The Bears will most likely come out hungry after losing by two to the No. 2 University of Southern California Trojans at home last week. Currently, the Cal Bears have a record of 14-6.

The Broncos will look to shut down Colin Mulcahy (So.) and Collin Smith (Sr.), the Bears top two goal scorers, leading their team with 29 goals each.

Santa Clara will look to seniors Tucker Carlson and Theo Nasser as its leaders, as they have scored the most goals this season. Carlson has scored 38 while Nasser is in a close second with 32 goals. A win against Cal would give the Broncos a great deal of confidence before playing No. 20 Cal Baptist in their first game of the WWPA Championships next weekend.

After losing to UC Davis 11-4 and beating Air Force 13-7 in last weekend's conference play, the Broncos are prepared to take on the Bears in search of a win.
