Men’s Water Polo Had 13 Student-Athletes Named to WWPA All-Academic Team

OAKLAND, Calif. – Santa Clara men's water polo had 13 players recognized by the Western Water Polo Association for their work in the classroom.

Arvin Bahia, Mac Carey, Blake D'Souza, Ford Eldredge, Patrick Guinn, Shane Hughes, Dominick Kirk, Patrick Kirk, Jake Landrum, Adam Low, Luca Pagano, Jake Taylor and Ryan Werner earned spots on the 2019 WWPA All-Academic team. The total ranked second in the league to California Baptist which had 14.

Bahia, Carey, Hughes, Pagano and Werner were selections in 2018. Carey and Hughes earned spots in all four years.

To be eligible, a player must have competed in at least 50 percent of the team's games during 2019 and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Honorees must also be full-time students and have completed a minimum of one semester or two quarters at their institution.
