OAKLAND, Calif. – Santa Clara men's water polo had 16 players recognized by the Western Water Polo Association for their work in the classroom.

Billy Barry, Andrew Carter, Blake D'Souza, Cody Ferguson, Nicky Fontes, Patrick Guinn, Dominick Kirk, Michael Kreienkamp, Thomas Lennox, Matt McKim, Chase Raisin, Matt Somers, Bennett Stafford, Jake Taylor, Nico Valls and Chase Zamborelli earned spots on the 2020-21 WWPA All-Academic team.

D'Souza, Guinn, Kirk and Taylor were also selections last season.

To be eligible, a player must have competed in at least 50 percent of the team's games during the season and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Honorees must also be full-time students and have completed a minimum of one semester or two quarters at their institution.
