SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball hosts Pacific Thursday at 6 p.m. in the team's first game in Leavey Center this season. The team's last game on its home floor was Feb. 22, 2020 vs. San Diego on Senior Day.
Per Santa Clara County guidelines, fans are not permitted in the facility.
Last week, the Broncos had their game Thursday at LMU postponed due to COVID-19 contact tracing in the program but went on to beat Pepperdine Saturday and Sunday.
SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 31-25 all-time against Pacific with the first meeting coming in 1974-75. Earlier this season the Broncos topped the Tigers 77-74 in Stockton.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (10-6, 6-4 WCC) has won three of four and five of seven. The Broncos are scoring 63.7 points per game while shooting 41.2-percent from the floor and 33.3-perent from downtown.
Lindsey VanAllen's 13.6 ppg are tops on the team and the junior also leads the Broncos with 1.5 steals per game and 25 3-pointers made. Ashlyn Herlihy is scoring 11.8 ppg and pulls down a team high 7.1 rpg. Merle Wiehl is scoring 9.4 ppg with 5.3 rpg and Ashlee Maldonado leads the way with 3.4 apg while adding 4.4 ppg.
THE TIGERS
Pacific (5-7, 3-6 WCC) has lost three in a row and five of six, starting with the first meeting with Santa Clara. As a team the Tigers are shooting 39.8-percent from the field and 34.2-percent from beyond the arc while scoring 68.4 ppg.
Valerie Higgins leads the team with 16.0 ppg and 8.6 rpg. Brooklyn McDavid is scoring 11.5 ppg to go with 5.7 rpg and Lianna Tillman leads the way with 4.0 apg while adding 9.3 ppg. She has also knocked down a team leading 19 3-pointers.
