KUNA, Idaho - The Santa Clara University women's golf team continued its fall season at the Bronco Invitational, hosted by Boise State at Falcon Crest Golf Course in Kuna, Idaho. The event marks the Broncos' first 54-hole event of the season.

Santa Clara carded a 32-over-par 320 in today's action and is tied for 11th place out of 18 teams after the first round of play. The second round was suspended due to darkness with three holes left to play. SMU is currently in first place and the top five is rounded out by host Boise State, Colorado State, Colorado and Fresno State.

Samantha Trask led the Broncos with an even-par 72 in today's round and is currently tied for seventh place. Corey Utsurogi is nine strokes back with an 81 to place 60th. Courtney Dimpel-Composti carded an 82 for 65th, Candice Palmer an 85 and Jennifer Sun made her collegiate debut with an 88.

"We improved through the second round," head coach Polly Schulze said. "Our goal is to place in top half of the field, so I'm anticipating that we will be improving on our score."

The Boise State Bronco Fall Invitational closes out play with a shot-gun start at 9 a.m. on Tuesday to complete the second round and begin the third and final run of the course.
