Despite winning the first set, the Broncos dropped the next three to fall 3-1 to Pacific, visiting Santa Clara for the first time as new members of the West Coast Conference.  Set scores were 26-24, 28-30, 25-19 and 25-15. 

Taylor Milton led the Broncos with 18 kills and 10 digs.  Megan Anders hit .400 with 14 kills and three block assists.  Sabrina Clayton collected 12 kills.  Alyssa Anderson had four kills, 45 assists, two aces and 15 digs.  Nikki Hess collected seven kills and 13 digs.  Mary Shepherd had 16 digs and Katy Schatzman added six.

Megan Birch hit .500 with 18 kills.  Kat Schulz and Anne-Sophie Bauer both had 11 kills with Lexi Elman scoring 23 digs.  Kimmy Whitson had 45 assists and seven block assists.

Anders scored a kill and Anderson collected an ace to open the match.  Anders scored another kill for the sideout.  A team block by Milton and Anders put SCU up 4-1.  The Tigers scored a couple before a Milton kill down the line gave SCU the ball.  Cameron and Milton teamed up for back-to-back kills in the back row, 7-4 SCU.  UOP scored six straight to pull ahead 10-7.  Timeout Broncos. 

A UOP team block was followed by a service error, 11-8 UOP, but the Tigers quickly got the ball back with a Bronco service error.  UOP scored three of the next four to jump ahead 15-9.  Clayton split the double-block to sideout and a team block by Milton and Anders helped the Bronco cause.  Anders and Milton scored back-to-back kills to pull within three, 18-15 UOP.  Timeout Tigers. 

UOP hit it out for another Bronco point, a block solo by Cameron and an ace by Mary Shepherd tied it up 18-18.  The Tigers called for their second timeout.  Milton's kill in the back row gave the Broncos the lead, 19-18.  Trading points, Milton crushed it cross court and then GiGi Cresto served up an ace, 21-19 SCU.  A kill by Birch and a net call by the Broncos tied it up 21-21.  After a Tiger team block, SCU whistled for time, 22-21 UOP.  Hess smacked it down in the back row to tie it up 22-22.  A Clayton kill off the arms of Schulz put SCU up 23-22 but a service error gave the Tigers the ball.  Clayton's swing landed hard in the back row, set point Broncos, 24-23.  UOP tied it up with a kill.  Clayton's kill off the double blockers gave SCU its second set point, 25-24.  Anders smacked it down on the quick for a 26-24 Bronco win in the first set.  SCU hit .231 with 17 kills (8 e, 39 att.).  Pacific hit .188 with 11 kills (5 e, 32 att.). 

Milton's kill cross court tied it up 1-1 to start the second set.  Clayton's kill off the double block and an ace by Anderson made it 4-1 SCU.  After a UOP attack error, the Tigers called for time, down 5-1.  After a UOP kill, Clayton stepped up for another score, 6-2 SCU.  After UOP scored a couple, Milton's kill stopped the rally.  UOP scored off the block.  Milton flew in for a kill and a UOP hitting error put SCU up 9-6.  UOP scored a couple including an ace before the setter was called for an error, 11-8 SCU.  Anders scored a quick kill off the double block for a sideout.  The Tigers collected a couple errors to slide the score to 14-9 SCU.  UOP scored four of the next five, 15-13 SCU. Timeout Broncos.  Milton's kill off the team block gave SCU the ball.  UOP scored on an Anderson setting error but Milton answered, 17-15 SCU.  A Schulz kill gave UOP the ball.  A kill off the slide by Cameron gave SCU the ball, but UOP scored a kill to sideout, 18-17 SCU.  Clayton got the sideout, 19-17 SCU.  UOP scored again, but Anders was money on the slide again, 20-18 SCU.  The teams continued to trade points and tied it up at 20 and 21 before Anders went up on the overpass for a kill, 22-21 SCU.  Anderson's overpass landed for a kill, 23-21 SCU. The Tigers scored two straight to tie it up 23-23.  Timeout Broncos.  A Tigers team block gave UOP set point, but Milton answered in the back row to tie it up 24-24.  A block solo by Hess gave SCU set point, 25-24.  A kill by UOP tied it up 25-25.  A kill by Hess cross court gave SCU its second set point, 26-25.  Bauer's kill down the line tied it up 26-26.  UOP scored on the joust to collect set point, but Clayton's attempt sprayed off the UOP arms for a kill, 27-27.  A team block by Anders and Anderson gave SCU its third set point, 28-27.  A kill by UOP tied it up.  UOP scored two to win set two 30-28.  SCU hit .262 with 18 kills (7 e, 42 att.).  UOP hit .214 with 16 kills (7 e, 42 att.). 

To start the third set, the teams traded points and then  UOP scored three straight before SCU called timeout down 5-2.  Cameron crushed it out of the timeout.  Anderson dumped it for a kill, 6-4 UOP.  UOP scored five of seven to move ahead 11-6.   An Anders kill in the middle stopped the rally.  UOP scored two before Anders crushed it and then an error by UOP made it 13-9 Pacific.  Milton smacked it hard off the single block for a kill, timeout Pacific.  Howard hit it long out of the timeout and then Birch scored, 14-11 UOP.  Anders tip gave SCU a sideout.  Hess tapped it between the blockers for a kill and then Birch collected a hitting error, 15-14 UOP.  Howard's kill stopped SCU.  Milton's kill deep in the back row – sideout SCU.  After a long rally, UOP scored a kill.  Hess smacked it for a kill.  UOP scored three times, 20-16 UOP. Timeout Broncos. 

UOP scored again out of the timeout.  Clayton's deep cross court kill stopped the four-point run, 21-17 UOP.  Cresto snared her second ace.  UOP scored three of four to move ahead 24-19.   An ace ended the set 25-19 UOP.  SCU hit .125 with 13 kills (8 e, 40 att.).  UOP hit .282 with 14 kills (3 e, 39 att.). 

UOP started the fourth set on a 6-1 rally.  Timeout Broncos.  UOP scored four more times out of the timeout.  Finally a service error stopped the Tigers run.  Hess smacked it down to the court for a point.  Hess was blocked for a UOP sideout, 11-3 UOP.  UOP scored two of the next three, 13-4 UOP.  Cameron's kill on the slide gave SCU the ball.  A kill by Schulz was followed by one by Katherine Douglas, 14-7 UOP.  Anderson's dump in the donut and Milton's kill cross court made it 14-9 UOP.  Timeout Pacific. 

Schulz collected a kill out of the timeout.  Milton crushed the ball on the overpass and Anders smacked it down on the court in the back row, 15-11 UOP.  UOP scored four of the next five to move ahead 19-12.  The teams traded sideouts.  A kill by Schulz made it 23-13 but Anderson's dump gave SCU a sideout.  Milton tapped it down again to hold off match point, 24-15 UOP.  A kill by Bauer ended the match, 25-15 UOP.
