SEASIDE, Calif. -Sainta Clara picked up two wins today on the Monterey Peninsula, defeating host Cal State Monterey Bay 12-6 and Fresno Pacific 16-6.
In the morning game against Cal State Monterey Bay, the Broncos were paced by freshman Alison Norris' three goals. Junior transfer Caitlin Espe, sophomore Sarah Safir, and junior Taylor Harkins also posted multi-goal games as each netted two. Seniors Rochelle Stowe and Jenny Knutson also had a goal each, as well as sophomore Laura Espinosa.
All three goalies saw time in the cage. Junior Wren White made five saves in the first half, freshman Stephanie Clements had one save in the third quarter, and fellow rookie Kathleen Servatius had one save in the final quarter.
