AZUSA, Calif. — Santa Clara University women's water polo's Elle Fredrickson was named the Golden Coast Conference's Player of the Week Monday for the week of April 10-16 after she totaled seven goals and five drawn exclusions across three games, including scoring the golden goal winner on the road at Cal State East Bay.

Fredrickson led all players with six goals Saturday at Cal State East Bay, but it was her final three – and even moreso, her last one – that were the biggest.

Fredrickson pulled the Broncos (10-18) within one goal with only 51 seconds on the clock, making it 13-12. Seconds later, she tie the game in huge fashion, putting the ball in the back of the net with only one second left on the clock, making it 13-13.

Then, it was Fredrickson who would score the golden goal in the sudden victory period, clinching the 14-13 triumph.

Fredrickson also scored a goal and drew three exclusions in the Broncos' 12-11 GCC win over California Baptist on Thursday – their first conference win of the season.

Fredrickson and the Broncos host GCC leader and No. 8 ranked Fresno State at 1 p.m. Saturday in their final home match of the season.
