As a Redshirt Sophomore in 2005: Made 20 appearances on the mound, started ine nine of those games ... went 2-7 on the season with two saves ... fourth on the team in inning pitched (53.0) and strikeouts (43)... led the team in opponents' batting average (.244) ... threw four scoreless innings and struck out four in a no-decision start against San Diego State on February 13 ... earned his first win of the season in relief against Portland on April 2, striking out one and allowing no runs in an inning-and-one-third ... struck out two in an inning of relief against San Francisco State on April 12 ... earned his first save on April 23 at St. Mary's in one-third of an inning of work ... struck out four in a three-inning stint to save Santa Clara's victory at Stanford on April 26 ... earned the win in the first-ever game at Stephen Schott Stadium against Gonzaga on April 30 by tossing five innings of two-hit, one-run relief and striking out four
