SANTA CLARA, Calif. – A weekend of celebrating Santa Clara Bronco baseball is set for Friday, Feb. 7 with an alumni gathering at the private residence of former Bronco Kevin Walters, and Saturday, Feb. 8 with the alumni game and annual Diamond Dinner fundraiser at Fiorillos restaurant.
The events are a chance for the current team, families, friends, supporters and the like to enjoy the time together while also serving as the main fundraiser for the baseball program with special guest speaker Randy Winn. A two-sport standout at Santa Clara, Winn enjoyed a 13-year career in the Major Leagues. He was a two-year member of the Santa Clara men's basketball team including the 1992-93 squad which upset No. 2-seed Arizona in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
In an effort to grow and connect our supporters, Diamond Dinner tables will seat up to 10. By purchasing a table for $1,000, sponsors will receive 10 tickets to distribute to guests of their choosing. In addition to table sales, sponsorship packages advertising sponsor names will be available from $2,500 to $7,500. Individual dinner tickets are also available for purchase at $150 each.
Young alumni who graduated between 2010 and 2019 will be offered an adjusted admission rate of $75.
Santa Clara's annual alumni baseball game is set to take place on Saturday, Feb. 8 with the first pitch at noon. The game will be played at Stephen Schott Stadium and admission is free.
Fans will get a look at the 2020 squad when it takes on former Bronco players.
