2009 WCC All-Freshman Team

SENIOR (2012): Went 1-3 with 1 2B, 1 BB, 1 RBI, and 1 R at Texas State … was 2-3 with an RBI and SF vs. Illinois-Chicago … blasted a home run and went 2-5 with 2 RBI and 1 R vs. Illinois-Chicago … knocked an RBI 2B, scored 1 R, drew 1 BB, and stole one base at San Jose State … had 2 RBI on two sacrifice flies vs. San Jose State … scored 2 R and added an RBI as part of a 3-5 game at Cal Poly … knocked a double and scored 1 R vs. Utah … blasted his second HR and went 3-4 with 2 RBI and 1 R vs. Lehigh … knocked in two runs at USD … went 3-4 with 1 RBI and 1 R at USD … homered and went 2-3 with 2 R vs. Portland … was 2-4 with 3 RBI and a HR vs. Fresno State … collected two hits at CSU Bakersfield and vs. Saint Mary’s.

JUNIOR (2011): Appeared in 24 games, starting 13 contests...hit a pinch-hit-three-run homer to register his first hit of the season in the second game of a double header against Albany on Feb. 26 … went 1-4 as the starting DH against San Jose State (3/6)…had one at bat in a mid-week game against Cal on Mar. 8…started his third game of the season at DH against Utah (3/11)…hit by a pitch in a loss to Milwaukee (3/12)…picked up a RBI on a sacrifice against Utah on Mar. 13…entered the game as a pinch-hitter against UC Davis (3/13)… registered a hit in a mid-week game against Stanford while serving as the DH on Mar. 22…went 1-3 with a double in the series-opener against Brown on Mar. 26…started as the DH against Brown…entered as a pinch-hitter, tallying a RBI, and stayed in the game at first base (3/27)…started as the DH in the series-finale against Brown …provided a pinch-hit RBI against Cal Poly (4/12)…had at-bats in two of the three games against St. Mary’s (Apr. 16 and Apr. 17)…pinch-hit in a home game against Stanford (4/19)…doubled in a pinch-hit appearance at USF on Apr. 21…started the DH against USF (Apr. 23)....started the final three games of the season at first base, amassing three hits at the plate and recording 22 putouts.

SOPHOMORE (2010): Started seven games, five times in left field and two others as the DH … made 20 more appearances off the bench, pinch-hitting 14 times … started twice in the season’s opening weekend against Nevada (2/20 and 2/21), going 3-for-9 with a double an RBI and a run scored … had a pair of multiple-hits games, both early in the season, the first coming against Nevada (2/21) when he went 2-for-4 and again at Fresno State (3/9) when he hit two doubles and drove in two … had a four-game hitting streak from March 6 through 11 ... did not make a start during West Coast Conference play – his last start came in left field against Southern Illinois on March 14.

FRESHMAN (2009): WCC All-Freshman Team ... started 33 of Santa Clara's 53 games as the DH... Hit .299 and tied for fourth on the team with 22 RBI ... mostly hit 6th in the SCU lineup... hit .412 with RISP and .400 with runners on base ... ended the year on a nine-game hitting streak ... had eight doubles, one triple and scored 16 runs ...... made his first collegiate appearance as the designated hitter against URI (Feb. 21) ... had his first college hit, run and double against NC State (Feb. 22) ... made his first collegiate start in left field at San Jose State (Feb. 27) ... started as the DH in games three and four against Oregon (Mar. 7-8) ... registered his first two career RBIs against UC Davis (Mar. 11) ... went 2-for-2 in game three against Cornell (Mar. 15), with two runs, two RBIs and his first collegiate stolen base ... had a season-high three hits against LMU (Mar. 29) and vs. Long Beach State (Mar. 31) ... started in left field against San Diego (Apr. 4)... doubled and scored a run against Stanford (Apr. 15) ... scored the Broncos' lone run against USF (Apr. 18) ... hit is first collegiate triple and posted a season-high three RBIs against San Jose State (Apr. 29) and against SMC (May 10) ... scored one run in the season finale against then-No. 18 Cal Poly (May 18).

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Aptos High School in Aptos, Calif. ... played for coaches Randy Kramer, Mark Eichorn and Matt King ... earned first-team all league honors in 2008 ... Aptos won league titles in 2007 and 2008 while finishing as the All-Central Coast Section (CCS) runners-up in 2007 ... also played basketball and earned first-team honors in 2007.
