HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Foothill High School in Henderson, Nev., lettered three years on the varsity basketball, track and field and tennis teams … was coached by Kevin Soares on the basketball court and his father, Bryan Roquemore, assisted with the team … his senior year he led the team with 23.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg and 5.8 apg as the team fell in the regional championship and finished with a 20-10 record … was all-state, the region MVP and a Reebok and McDonald’s All-American nominee … scored a career-high 44 points vs. Eldorado High School … his junior year he scored 14 ppg, 4 rpg and 3 apg losing in the semi-finals … his sophomore year they won the regional title and also won conference each season … playing tennis in the fall for Coach Richards, he was the regional runner-up in doubles in 2009 … in the spring he was on the track team, led also by Coach Richards, competing in the long jump, triple jump and high jump … was the regional champion in the triple jump his senior year, soaring over 46 feet … played for Dream Vision AAU team … his team won the 2010 San Diego Tournament and was runner-up in a couple of other tournaments … his team played in the game in Indiana vs. Indiana Elite that broke the record for the most Division 1 coaches in the stands watching with 138 coaches, losing by two points … was a member of the RSVP club in high school, which worked towards improving the school.

PERSONAL
Pronounces name “Rock-a-more” … parents are Bryan and Margaret Roquemore, both are UNLV graduates who are P.E. teachers and middle school basketball coaches … has a younger brother (Jace) and younger sister (Katelynn) … cousin is J.R. Henderson, who played on UCLA’s national championship team in 1995 and went on to play for the Memphis Grizzlies … born in Lancaster, Calif. … First Foothill player to go directly into Division I basketball. The school opened in 1999 ... He will be majoring in Political Science.

WHY I CHOSE SANTA CLARA
"The education, the coaching staff, the location (California!), it was close to home in a really good conference were all reasons that I chose Santa Clara.  That and I was wanted."
