SENIOR (2013): As a senior captain, Muscarella has been a vital piece in the Broncos’ defense, helping to lead the team to six shutouts … played and started in every game he was available for in the 2013 season (19) … picked up a shot on goal in the Broncos’ matchup at Washington (Sept. 3) … attempted two shots in the Broncos match-up at then-No.2 Cal (Sept. 27) … Muscarella picked up a shot on goal in the Broncos’ final match vs. USD (Nov.17).
JUNIOR (2012): Starting defender and midfielder who enjoyed a very productive season in 2012 ... made 17 starts in the 18 games he was available for ... helped SCU go 11-6-2 overall and 8-2-2 in WCC play ... netted the game-winning goal at USF (Nov. 2) - a 1-0 Broncos victory ... missed just one game, a road match at Gonzaga (Oct. 28), but fought through injury to be one of SCU's most consistent performers.
SOPHOMORE (2011): Key part of Santa Clara's 2011 team which went 11-5-4 overall (best record in WCC) and earned a national ranking as high as No. 18 ... started in 12 of the team's 20 games ... scored twice, recorded an assist and totaled 16 shots ... netted goals in back-to-back games, first scoring the game-winner at No. 14 Cal (Sept. 16), then next time out at San Jose State (Sept. 22) ... assisted in Santa Clara's 4-1 rout over San Diego (Oct. 30).
FRESHMAN (2010): Had an impressive true-freshman season, playing 19 games and making 16 starts to help Santa Clara win the WCC Championship ... totaled 1,096 minutes, 12 shots and scored a crucial goal to help the Broncos defeat rival St. Mary's 2-1 (Nov. 5) ... played in extended minutes in each of the first three games and was moved into the starting lineup by game No. 4, at Marquette (Sept. 12) ... he would remain a starter for the rest of the year, missing a pair of games with a sprained ankle in early October ... had a season-high four shots, including two on goal against Gonzaga (Nov. 14) - a game in which SCU clinched the WCC title on the regular season's final day ... started and played 59 minutes in the NCAA tournament first round match at Sacramento State (Nov. 18).
