Dan Dalzochio completed his third season at Santa Clara in 2000 after a six-year professional career playing indoor and outdoor soccer. Dalzochio works alongside current Bronco assistant coach Eric Yamamoto in coaching the Santa Clara men's goalkeepers, and assists Yamamoto in handling the university's soccer camps.

A native of San Jose, Calif., Dalzochio began his collegiate career at Saint Mary's College of California. After two seasons with the Gaels, he transferred to San Diego State where he helped the Aztecs to a pair of NCAA Tournament berths in 1992 and 1993. During his senior season, Dalzochio finished among the nation's best goalkeepers and among the nation's leaders in goals-against average. He was also voted the Top Newcomer on the 1992 Aztec team.

Upon his graduation from San Diego State, Dalzochio embarked on his professional career that included indoor stints with the San Diego Sockers (CISL), Detroit Neon (CISL) and the Detroit Rockers (NPSL). Along with his success in the indoor game, Dalzochio has played for the USISL's Milwaukee Rampage and the A-League's California Jaguars.

Before joining the Bronco staff, Dalzochio coached the Abraham Lincoln High School boys team in San Jose for the 1997 and '98 seasons. Also in 1997, he was the assistant coach at West Valley College in Saratoga, Calif.

Dalzochio, 29, and his wife Michele reside in San Jose with their son Jack.
