Three Broncos Named to ACWPC All-Academic Team

SANTA CLARA, Calif.- The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches announced the men's water polo 2013 All-Academic awards on Mon., March 3. This year, three Broncos were named to the All-Academic team including senior Theo Nasser, and juniors Casidhe McClone and Mark Davis.

McClone received the highest level of honor, receiving recognition for Outstanding academic achievement for the 2013 season. To receive Outstanding, student-athletes must receive higher than a 3.71 and have competed in at least 50.0 percent of games. This is the second year in a row that McClone has received the Outstanding All-Academic award.

Davis received Superior recognition for the 2013 season, meaning he received between a 3.41 and 3.7 GPA. Davis also received All-Academic honors for the 2012 season.

Nasser added one more honor to his final year, receiving Excellent All-Academic honors for earning a GPA between 3.2 and 3.4. This is Nasser's second time receiving ACWPC All-Academic Honors.

The ACWPC has over 260 athletes receive All-Academic honors from all three divisions across the nation. These student-athletes performed not only in the pool, but in the classroom as well for the 2013 season.
