Coach Bento-Jackson on Cozad: "Michelle has come back for her senior season as a completely different player from a conditioning standpoint. Getting herself in this type of shape showed us all how much she really wants us to be successful. AS A JUNIOR IN 2003-04: Averaged 17.3 points per game across season's first six contests ... missed the remainder of the year due to a left foot injury... made Bronco debut against UW-Green Bay... netted seven points in 23 minutes... back-to-back jumpers in the second half sparked an SCU comeback attempt... had a career night at Pacific in hometown of Stockton... netted 27 points, 18 of which came in the second half... 12 came in the game's final five minutes... finished 10-20 from the field, 3-7 from behind the arc, and 4-4 from the charity stripe... scored the game's first four points as well... added 22 points against No. 10 Georgia, scoring 15 in the first half... set new career high of 34 points at Sacramento State, on 10-15 shooting... added six rebounds and five assists while playing all 40 minutes... those 34 points ties for the second best individual game performance by a Bronco... made 8-10 free throws against BYU... grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds at Nevada.

AT SAN JOAQUIN DELTA COLLEGE: Played for head coach Gina Johnson at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton... averaged 19.5 points in 2002-03, the fourth best average in the state... also ranked second in free throw percentage (.820), field goal percentage (.482) and three-point field goal percentage (.362)... was twice named the most valuable player of the Bay Valley Conference and earned first team All-State honors each season... as a freshman, received California State Final Four All-Tournament Team recognition... Delta won 29 games each season while also winning the Bay Valley Conference Championship both years... finishes career as the Mustangs' all-time leading scorer, with 1,328 points.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played guard for head coach Jim Grady at Saint Mary's High School in Stockton, Calif... led Saint Mary's to the 2001 Division IV state championship title game... team went 33-2 that season... named All-Area Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and team MVP.
