HIGH SCHOOL: Named the 2012 Greater Spokane League (GSL) Player of the Year as a senior at Central Valley High School’s storied basketball program in Spokane … led the GSL in scoring (16.5 ppg) en route to a 25-3 overall record in her final prep season (scored 25+ points eight different times as a senior) … also led the Bears to an appearance in the 2012 Washington State Class 4A Championship game at the Tacoma Dome, getting edged out of a state title at the buzzer ... named an Associated Press First Team All-State selection - one of just five players to earn the honor in 4A (the state's premier division for high school athletics) … 2012 Seattle Times All-State selection … All-GSL Second Team honoree as a freshman, then was a First Team All-GSL player as a sophomore, junior and senior - earning league MVP honors as a senior as well … Gallaway scored 1,429 career points at Central Valley, averaging 12.3 points per game as a high school freshman, and went on to average 13.2 points as a sophomore and 16.8 points per game as a junior … finished her career at Central Valley as the program’s second all-time leading scorer, while establishing new school records for games started, free throws made and attempted in a career and single-season … selected to play in the Jack Blair Memorial All-Star game four times … also tabbed to play in the 2012 Washington State Girls Basketball Coaches Association Senior All Star game.
