Post Game Quotes

Recap| Box Score

Head Coach Chris Denker
"I thought there were a couple of things that made the difference today. We played really good defense. Our girls really got out there and held (Pacific guard Selena) Ho to 0-6 shooting in the first half and Pacific as a team to 32 percent. We also got good rebounds, which was huge, because we're not that big, and then run out, so we got our transition game going. Our forwards did a good job of rebounding and our guards were able to attack and finish. We probably got more breakaway lay ups tonight than we've had all year long.

"We want to get the ball in the lane. I thought our kids' ball movement was good. We swung it around a lot, very indicative of that was the last play of the first half. Becki drove, drew a defender, skips it to Kayla who makes the extra pass to an unguarded Quinn Thomas who hits the three at the buzzer. They were making extra passes and finding the open man, and we haven't really been doing that all season. It really showed in our shooting percentage, especially in the first half (.515). We're really happy with that."

On Tammy Annas' play
"I thought Tammy just let the game come to her and just got good shots. I don't think she ever really forced anything, so it was a very quite 16 points to me. When Tammy is aggressive like that and runs the court hard, she's really good in the open court and gets those easy points."

Junior Forward Tammy Annas (16 points, 5 rebounds)
"I felt better today. I had struggled lately, but I was more aggressive today."
