Women's Rowing Finishes 2012 with an Eye to the Future
May 30, 2012In a season where it hosted its first-ever home regatta, Santa Clara women's rowing wrapped-up its 2012 season at the WCC Championships at Lake Natoma in Sacramento, Calif. on May 12 and 13. The season was not about just results, but showing the many newcomers what it takes to compete at the Division I level. -
Women's Rowing Has Eight Honored by WCC for Work in the Classroom
May 10, 2012Continuing its standard of academic excellence, Santa Clara had eight women's rowers honored by the West Coast Conference for their work in the classroom it was announced Thursday. The Broncos will compete in the WCC Championships at Lake Natoma in Sacramento, Calif. May 12-13 to wrap-up their season. -
Women's Rowing Finishes Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships
May 01, 2012In the final races before the West Coast Conference Championships May 12 and 13, Santa Clara women's rowing competed in six races at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships in Lake Natoma, Calif. over the weekend. The Broncos best finish was third place in the Women's Lightweight Four against three other teams. The Broncos time in that race was 8:18.7. -
Laurel Schuster '11 Uses What She Learned Rowing at SCU in the Professional World
April 24, 2012There are almost 50,000 college student-athletes each year and the overwhelming majority go on to jobs outside of playing professionally. Laurel Schuster '11 (LS) was on the women's rowing team during her time at Santa Clara University and is one of those who has gone on to the working world after competition. Santa Clara Women's Rowing Just Where It Wants To Be After Race vs. LMU
April 21, 2012Facing one of the fastest teams in the West Coast Conference, Santa Clara women's rowing took on LMU on April 21 in the first annual dual meet between the two schools. This was the last race of the season for the Broncos before they go to the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championships from April 28-29 and the WCC Championships from May 12-13. Both events will take place in Lake Natoma, Calif. -

Balancing Sports with Job Hunting
April 19, 2012Early mornings and long practice hours failed to interrupt Katie Caudle’s (KC) internship and job hunt. Balancing rowing with school paid off as Caudle landed a full-time job at Accenture after interning with the company prior to her senior year. WCC Announces Preseason Awards For Women's Rowing
March 30, 2012San Diego has been selected as the favorite to win the West Coast Conference women's rowing championship in a preseason poll of the WCC's seven head coaches. The Toreros received four first place votes in the poll and Gonzaga received three (coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team). Gonzaga and San Diego have multiple selections on the Preseason All-WCC Team. -
