NOTES

  • Jay Farwell was promoted to director of rowing in September 2021 and will oversee both the men's and women's rowing programs at Santa Clara. He has spent the last 10 seasons as the head coach for the men.
  • The Broncos still have regular season races at the Sacramento Invite (March 12) and against Creighton and Saint Mary's (April 2).
  • The championship leg of the season features WIRAs (April 30-May 1) on Lake Natoma and the WCC Championship, also on Lake Natoma (May 14).
  • Santa Clara began the season with an exhibition against Saint Mary's and UC Davis on February 20.
  • The Broncos last race was at the California Challenge Cup.

"The varsity 8 gained some valuable racing experience last weekend at the California Challenge Cup and the team is looking to build off of that experience as we transition into full 2000 meter racing. We will be racing a varsity 8, varsity 4 and a novice 4 with a number of the teams getting their first opportunity to race as a Bronco. We will also get another opportunity to St. Mary's College and our first look at Portland who are both in our conference."

Director of rowing Jay Farwell.
