WHY I CHOSE SANTA CLARA: I was exposed to Santa Clara University from a very young age through my soccer coaches Devvyn Hawkins and Matt Biggam; however, I only knew about the soccer program.When it came time to really start looking at colleges and deciding where I wanted to attend, I took a closer look at Santa Clara. I absolutely loved it. I learned that the atmosphere was not only a beneficial learning environment, but it was also a welcoming one. I was very impressed with Santa Clara's emphasis on collaboration rather than competition. As I see it, the goal at Santa Clara is not to be better than everyone else, but to work together so that everyone comes out of the college experience well-rounded and well-educated. I believe I will thrive in this environment, and I felt at home from the moment that I set foot on campus.
