Broncos on Tour: Day Seven - TSG Hoffenheim Training

HOFFENHEIM, Germany – Day seven was about soccer, with some sights thrown in as well.

The day began with a trip to TSG Hoffenheim, a team in the Bundesliga. The Broncos got a look at two hi-tech training methods used by the team.

One was a psychological test and VR room. The players had a remote control, much like Nintendo Wii, and were in a circular room. The machine had six different games that were meant to work on different skills.

The second was the Footbonaut, a square room with 16 cutouts on each side, eight on the bottom, and eight on the top. Each side had a ball dispenser that would whistle and light up before sending a ball to the player inside. Another square would light up and the player had to knock the ball through that cutout. At the end, their accuracy and speed were rated.

After lunch at the facility, Santa Clara headed back to Heidelberg for a tour and free time the rest of the day.

Tomorrow is the last gameday against TSG Hoffenheim.
