SAN DIEGO - Mann Shah won both his doubles and singles matches, including the match clincher, to help Santa Clara men's tennis to a 4-1 victory over San Diego State (1-2) on Saturday.
Playing at No. 3 singles, Shah downed Mathieu Josserand 6-4, 6-2 to secure the team win for Santa Clara (4-2).
Guillaume Dalmasso and Christian Lerby also were victorious in both of their doubles and singles matches. The Bronco duo teamed up in doubles to hand Alexander Mandma and Eugenio Gonzalez a 6-2 defeat at No. 2. Shah played with Arthur Neuhaus atop the lineup and clinched the doubles point with their 6-4 triumph over Johannes Seeman and Mathieu Josserand.
In singles, Seeman defeated Neuhaus 6-3, 6-1 to level the match at 1-all before Lerby and Dalmasso won their matches at No. 3 and No. 2 respectively to give the Broncos a 3-1 edge. Lerby is now 5-0 in singles play this season.
