SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Three Broncos - Arthur Neuhaus, Mann Shah and Santiago Hinojosa - won both their singles and doubles matches to help Santa Clara men's tennis to a 5-2 win over Grand Canyon on Saturday at the Degheri Tennis Center.
Guillaume Dalmasso, who only played singles, clinched the match when he defeated Alfred Almasi 6-2, 7-5 on court two to secure the fourth point for Santa Clara (6-3).
Neuhaus and Shah teamed up to topple Jonathan Da Silva and David Wekesa, 6-3, atop the doubles lineup to clinch the doubles point. Hinojosa also won his doubles match, and was the first to finish in singles with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over William Alsterback at No. 5 to give the Broncos a 2-0 advantage.
Santa Clara made it 3-1 when Neuhaus took care of Da Silva 6-1, 7-6 (7-3) at top flight.
Grand Canyon (2-7) narrowed the gap to 3-2 when Paolo Rosati beat Jack Pulliam, 6-4, 6-4, but Dalmasso ended the Lopes' hopes with his straight set victory.
With the team victory already been decided, Shah closed it with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) win over Wekesa at No. 3.

The Broncos head out to Seattle to face the University of Washington on Friday for the lone match of the trip.
