Women's Golf Set To Open Fall Season At USF Intercollegiate

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara women's golf is ready to tee-off the fall portion of their 2022-23 season and will do so with 36 holes of action on Monday in the USF Intercollegiate held at the Olympic Club.

NOTES

  • The Broncos will be playing in their first of four fall events. 
  • The 2022 USF Invitational will be played at Olympic Club Ocean Course with 36 holes to be played on Monday and the remainding 18 holes to be played out on Tuesday. 
  • The stacked 10-team field features Santa Clara, host-USF, San Jose State, Pepperdine, BYU, Gonzaga, Oregon State, Cal, UCLA and Colorado.
  • Santa Clara's lineup for the two-day event will be Claire Choi, Audrey Brust, Rachael Wang, Borina Sutikto and Lauren Shew
  • This will be the first collegiate action for freshmen Brust and Wang. 
  • Choi is returning for one final season with the Broncos after a sensational senior campaign that saw her win two individual titles and the third-lowest single-season scoring average in program history (74.03). 
  • Sutikto, now a sophomore, is coming off a fantastic freshman season in which she earned all-conference honors after posting a team-best eight top-20 finishes, including four top-10 turns. She finished the year right behind Choi in the record books with a season stroke average of 74.07.
