SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara women's golf will play in their third event of the fall this week with a two-day turn at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational hosted by Seattle U in Tacoma, Wash. on Monday and Tuesday.

NOTES

  • This will be Santa Clara's third of four fall tournaments in 2022. The Broncos will wrap up their fall on Oct. 24-25 at the Olde Stone Invitational in Bowling Green, Kent. 
  • The 2022 Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, now in its eighth year, will be played at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club in Tacoma, Wash. 
  • Santa Clara is one of 21 teams that will be taking part in the annual tournament. In addition to the Broncos and host-Seattle U., the University of British Columbia, Cal State Fullerton, Cal Baptist, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, Idaho, Montana State, Nevada, North Dakota State, North Dakota, Portland State, South Dakota State, Southern Miss, Stephen F. Austin, Tarleton State, UC Davis, UC Irvine, Utah State and Weber State will all be on the course. 
  • Santa Clara's lineup for the two-day event will be Claire Choi, Inara Sharma, Borina Sutikto, Audrey Brust and Lauren Shew. Maddie Wu will also be competing as an individual. 
  • The Broncos are coming off a tie for 14th at the Coeur d'Alene Invitational. 
  • Choi is returning for one final season with the Broncos after a sensational senior campaign that saw her win two individual titles and the third-lowest single-season scoring average in program history (74.03). 
  • Sutikto, now a sophomore, is coming off a fantastic freshman season in which she earned all-conference honors after posting a team-best eight top-20 finishes, including four top-10 turns. She finished the year right behind Choi in the record books with a season stroke average of 74.07.
