NCAA Tournament Bracket | Los Angeles Sub-Regional Tournament Central

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara volleyball has reached the postseason for the third time in the lasf four years. After one of the most successful regular seasons in recent memory, the Broncos were selected to their 16th NCAA Tournament Sunday night. They face Michigan Friday at 5:30 p.m. at the John Wooden Center in Los Angeles. The winner between Santa Clara and the Wolverines takes on either 14th-seeded UCLA or Lipscomb on Sunday.

The Broncos (22-8, 13-5 WCC) won 20 games or more under head coach Jon Wallace for the ninth time this season, and are headed to the postseason for the 13th time in Wallace's tenure. Their .733 winning percentage is the best since 2006 and .722 winning percentage in West Coast Conference play is the best since 2007.

"It's always good to be in the tournament," Wallace said.  "We're solid fundamentally. We play really good defense and we have some good weapons offensively. We have great libero play and great setter play … the mindset of our girls will be right and they'll put up a good fight."

"We have experience from playing in a good crowd in a big gym at Oregon from last season," senior Danielle Rottman said. "Out of my four years, we have the hardest working and the most committed team this season. I think that's definitely going to show in the tournament."

Michigan (19-12, 9-11 Big 10) earned an at-large berth to the postseason after finishing in ninth place in conference this season.  UCLA (23-7, 14-6 Pac-12) faces Lipscomb (23-8, 13-1 Atlantic Sun) at 8 p.m. Friday night.
