SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara volleyball has made the AVCA Top 25 for the first time in nearly two years. The Broncos are ranked 19th in the poll, released Monday.

The 6-0 Broncos are off to their best start since 2005, when they reached the NCAA Tournament's Final Four. Santa Clara is coming off its second tournament victory of the young season. The team defeated No. 21 Louisville, Auburn and Stony brook to win the Active Ankle Challenge.

Next up for the Broncos is the Cal Classic this weekend in Berkeley, Calif. Santa Clara takes on Grand Canyon Friday, followed by West Virginia and Cal on Saturday.
