Chris Mendoza is in his fourth year at Santa Clara, including first as assistant athletic director of facilities and operations.
Mendoza was promoted to assistant AD in September 2016, after spending the previous year as an assistant in the unit and 2014-15 as an event supervisor in the department.
Mendoza, who graduated from Santa Clara in March 2014, with a bachelor's degree in psychology, oversees the operations of all athletics facilities and is heavily involved gameday procedures for all home contests.
He was a four-year letterwinner on the Bronco baseball team. Named the WCC Player of the Week in May 2013, Mendoza finished his career by pitching five strong innings out of the bullpen to help defeat LMU 5-4 in the final game of the season.
A native of South Lake Tahoe, California, Mendoza graduated from Branham High School in San Jose in 2009. After his prep career, he also worked one year as an assistant coach for high school’s baseball team.
