You can make an impact for our student-athletes:

Create a first-class experience for our Student-Athletes

As part of Santa Clara’s goal of educating the whole person, the Athletic Department helps each student-athlete balance both academics and athletics. Santa Clara student-athletes' average graduation success rate of 94 percent exceeds all but one of our West Coast Conference peers—and stands considerably higher than the overall average of 83 percent for Division I institutions. Bronco student-athletes are provided with the best resources when it comes to academic success and career opportunities, from our amazing academic advisors, our Student Athlete Advisory Committee, to the BBF's mentor program, the Bronco Network. Your gift to the Bronco Athletic Fund makes these academic opportunities happen!

Supply Championship Budgets

Our goal is to compete at the highest level of the West Coast Conference and NCAA Division I Athletics. With three national championships in the past 30 years— men’s and women’s soccer and women’s basketball—numerous Final Four appearances, and a string of NCAA appearances and WCC Championships to its name, Bronco athletics has a reputation for guts, tenacity, and perseverance befitting the best of the best. To carry on this excellence and win future championships, our individual sports programs need championship budgets that are competitive with our peers. Championship budgets allow our coaches and student-athletes to be put in the best competitive position possible, as well as providing them with a positive student-athlete experience.

Relieve coaches of fundraising burden

In the past, coaches were required to fundraise a portion of their total operating budget. Now, our coaches are given whole budgets to begin the year, and it is up to the Bronco Athletic Fund to fundraise on behalf of the teams. The Bronco Athletic Fund allows coaches the ability to focus more time and energy on coaching, recruiting, and winning, while simultaneously giving them the resources to match expectations.

Facilities Upgrades

Athletic Director Renee Baumgartner has made it a priority to improve our Athletics' facilities, putting our coaches and student-athletes in better positions to succeed on and off the field. Just in the past few years, we have renovated a stadium, built new Men's and Women's basketball suites, a new soccer facility, and installed an innovative, state-of-the-art basketball floor. However, there is still much work to be done, especially in the areas of academic support, sports medicine, weight room, locker rooms and practice courts. These upgrades benefit all our student-athletes. Please consider contributing to the Bronco Athletic Fund, allowing us to renovate, expand, and build new facilities and transform all Bronco Athletic teams in the future.
