SOPHOMORE (2010): Left-handed batter and leadoff hitter who had a solid sophomore season as SCU’s center fielder, starting in 46 of the Broncos’ 54 games … hit .341 during the first two months of the season … stole 14 bases in 16 attempts, second best among all SCU players … made just one error defensively … finished the season hitting an even .300 and his 42 runs scored was third-best on the team ... led SCU in triples with six … posted 15 multiple-hit games … began the year on a tear, totaling 11 hits in the first four games … went 4-for-5 with a double and three runs in the second game of the year against Nevada (2/20) … had four hits in the next day, scoring three times against Nevada (2/21) … was a double shy of the cycle at Houston (2/26), hitting a homer, tripling and driving in a season-high four runs … enjoyed three-hit games against Southern Illinois (3/11) and San Diego State (3/22) … went on a six-game hitting streak in late March in games against San Diego State and Princeton … finished the year strong by going 8-for-14 in a three-game series win over Loyola Marymount May 28-30.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Monterey High School in Monterey, Calif. ... led the Toreadores to three Monterey Bay League titles and one Central Coast Section (CCS) championship from 2004-08 ... earned First Team All-Monterey Bay honors three times (2006-08) ... named league MVP as a senior, hitting .424 with five home runs, while also posting a 1.45 ERA with a 5-0 record on the mound ... was named to the First Team All-Monterey County by the Monterey County Herald and Salinas Californian ... voted team MVP by his teammates ... was ranked the 251st best 2008 propsect nationally by Perfect Game Cross Checker ... played in the Bay Area World Series and the Perfect Game Nationals ... received all-tournament team honors at the Bay Area World Series in 2006 and '07 ...
