FRESHMAN (2010): Made an immediate impact as Santa Clara’s starting shortstop beginning on Opening Day … had a terrific start to the year, hitting near .300 with an on-base percentage over .450 before suffering an arm injury when he was hit by a pitch against Portland (4/2) in the opening weekend of West Coast Conference play … had 23 hits in 25 games prior to the injury … made it back to play and start in all three games at Loyola Marymount May 28-30 the final weekend of the season … went 4-for-10 in those final three games to post a season batting average of .310 … he was hit by pitches 20 times – fourth most in SCU’s single-season history, doing so in just 28 games ... enjoyed six multiple-hit games ... went 4-for-4, hit two doubles, and had three RBI in an early-season win over San Jose State (3/7) … hit safely in 18 of the 28 games he played in … his four hits and three RBI against San Jose State (3/7) were both season-highs.
