LEXINGTON, Ky. - College basketball fans can now learn what Bronco supporters have known all along about eclectic Santa Clara University forward Travis Niesen.
A full-page spread in the 2006 Final Four® Official Program features the Mission Viejo, Calif. native showcasing several of his diverse interests. The photo was taken in SCU's Leavey Center prior to the team's final two games of the regular season.
Niesen, the third-leading scorer in the West Coast Conference last season, was captured by local photographer David Gonzales wearing his Bronco basketball game jersey, surfing shorts and flip-flops. He was holding his surf board with his foot resting on a basketball. Nearby was his trusty guitar, school books and golf clubs (left-handed, of course).
