FRESHMAN (2014): Played in 18 games this season … started 10 matches … led the team with four goals and five assists for 13 points … earned the No. 3 spot on the West Coast Conference’s “Top Play Tuesday” countdown on Oct. 21 …  attempted two shots and two shots on goal against Saint Mary’s … scored one goal and tallied one assist in 4-1 rout of Pacific … picked up one assist and one shot on goal against Maryland … scored one goal in 2-1 victory over Portland … attempted two shots and one shot on goal against Gonzaga … tallied one assist and two shots in 1-1 tie with USF … recorded one shot against San Diego … picked up one assist in 1-1 tie against LMU … had two shots against No. 15 Cal … recorded one shot and one shot on goal against Cal State Fullerton … tallied one shot against Northern Illinois … picked up one goal and one assist in 2-0 victory over Massachusetts … collected one shot against Creighton … scored first collegiate goal in 3-2 victory over Omaha.

ATHLETIC EXPERIENCE: In his first year with the SCU Soccer team as a freshman in 2014-15 … played two years of high school soccer where he helped team advance from C level to B level … one of the top forwards in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy … helped lead the De Anza Force to the Academy Finals in March 2014.

WHY DELGADILLO CHOSE SANTA CLARA: “I chose SCU because of the fact that it’s close to home. I get a chance to study and also get to see my parents when I can. I believe Santa Clara is going to help me be a leader on and off the field.”

COACH RAST ON DELGADILLO: “Carlos is a rare player; he is a true goal scorer. He can combine with teammates to goal or break players down on the dribble. When he gets a chance in front of goal he is clinical. He is able to hold the ball allowing players to join him in the attack. He will make our team more dangerous the moment he steps on the field.”
