WHY I CHOSE SANTA CLARA: I chose Santa Clara because of its rich tradition in soccer as well as its notorious academics. In other words, both of these facts about Santa Clara will benefit me in my future. Since my goal is to become a professional soccer player, I wanted a university which I knew could help me get there through its own excellent athletic program. Also, in the case that my goal does not manifest, I have an institution which not only will prepare me with excellent education, but also is known to provide its students with jobs right after they graduate more than most university’s around the country.
