Men's Water Polo Player James Case Named All-ACWPC Honorable Mention

SANTA CALRA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's water polo received another post season award on Monday when senior Driver James Case was named to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches' All-American Honorable Mention list. This is the second year in a row that Case has received this honor. He was also a First-Team All-WWPA performer in 2011.

"James Case played at a high level his senior year and he helped our team win several big games," said Santa Clara head coach Keith Wilbur. "He led our team in goals scored, was second in assists and third in steals and kick outs drawn. He has a great all around game and he was able to put up some really good numbers, while, at the same time, making the guys around him better. A small number of guys are named to the ACWPC All-American teams and now James has received this honor twice which is a great accomplishment."

Case started all 35 games for the Broncos and led the team in attempts with 104 and was tied for the team lead with 41 goals scored. He was also second in assists with 48 and third in steals with 29 and kick-outs drawn with 30. He added 25 steals to help the Broncos finish fourth in the Western Water Polo Association's conference tournament.
