SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Continuing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of women's athletics at Santa Clara, Kathy Sanchez '78 weighs in on her time as a Bronco and proves that an experience doesn't have to be long to be meaningful.

"The year has become a fond memory, but honestly I didn't think it through in 1975-76," said Sanchez. "I just knew I wanted to be there, part of women's crew. I had never been part of a sports team until I joined crew. Crew welcomed me. I had never run until I ran as part of crew training. It was just one year, but it was a huge part of my Santa Clara experience."
