Broncos Set Commissioner's Honor Roll Record for Second Straight YearJuly 23, 2014The West Coast Conference announced its 13th annual Commissioner's Honor Roll Tuesday, and 141 Santa Clara Broncos were recognized with honors for their athletic success and academic excellence. Santa Clara had 18 student-athletes receive gold honors (3.75-4.00 GPA) and 33 student-athletes receive silver honors (3.50-3.74 GPA). The Broncos set a new record of student athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, breaking the previous mark of 133 in the 2012-13 school year.

Bronco Softball Incoming Freshmen Finish Strong High School CareersJune 18, 2014Coming off the first year of West Coast Conference softball, Santa Clara softball will welcome six freshmen to the Mission campus for the 2015 season. Ellie Fisher of Tracy, Calif., McCall James of El Segundo, Calif., Kelli Tatum of Fountain Valley, Calif., Micaela Vierra of Huntington Beach, Calif., Justine Garner of Roseville, Calif., and Elizabeth Ray of Salina, Calif. will all start their Bronco careers during the 2014-15 academic year.

Bronco Softball Finishes First Year in WCCJune 03, 2014In the first year of West Coast Conference softball, Santa Clara softball continued to move in the right direction with several big performances. Santa Clara swept LMU on the road in a three-game series and went into the final weekend of the season with a chance to finish second in the conference. Perhaps the most thrilling moment of the season was the walk-off 1-0 win vs. Fresno State on April 17.

Four Bronco Softball Players Honored by WCC; Scribner Named Defensive Player of the YearMay 13, 2014In the first season of West Coast Conference softball, Santa Clara has four players honored by the conference on the All-WCC Softball teams. Breezy Bernard, Stephanie Fisher, and Kelly Scribner all nabbed First Team honors while Ciara Gonzales was named to the Second Team. Scribner was also named the conference Defensive Player of the Year for her work at first base.

Broncos Fall on Senior DayMay 11, 2014On Senior Day Santa Clara softball lost to San Diego by a final of 6-1. The Broncos finish 10-34 overall and 5-10 in WCC play while the Toreros are 26-21 and 10-5 in conference play.

Softball Drops Pair of Extra Inning GamesMay 10, 2014Kicking-off the final weekend of the regular season, Santa Clara softball dropped two games to San Diego by a final of 3-2 in eight innings and 5-4 in 11 innings. The Broncos are now 10-33 overall and 5-9 in WCC action while the Toreros are now 25-21 overall and 9-5 in conference play.

Two Softball Players Nab WCC All-Academic HonorsMay 09, 2014Santa Clara softball had two players named to the 2014 West Coast Conference Softball All-Academic Team on Friday. Seniors Krista Jensen and Kelly Scribner were both honored for their work in the classroom. This is the third honor for both players, as they were both named to the 2011 and 2012 Pacific Coast Softball Conference Honor Rolls.

Scribner is the second Bronco to win the award this week, with fellow senior Stephanie Fisher garnering honors on April 21.

Bronco Softball Heads South to Los AngelesApril 30, 2014Heading down the coast, Santa Clara softball will play at Cal State Fullerton on Thurs., May 1 at 6 p.m. before playing a three game set with LMU over the weekend. The Broncos and Lions will square off Sat., May 3 at 10 am and 12 pm and Sun., May 4 at 12 p.m. Last week the Broncos dropped a game at Stanford before losing three tight games to Saint Mary’s. Santa Clara is 7-30 overall on the season and 2-7 in West Coast Conference action.

Bronco Softball to Host "Pink" Game SundayApril 25, 2014Santa Clara softball will host a “pink” game on Sun., April 26 at 12 p.m. vs. Saint Mary's at the Softball Field. The game will be in support of the Strikeout Cancer organization. The Broncos will be wearing pink socks and pink shoelaces and fans are encouraged to wear pink as well.

The Broncos are 7-26 overall and 2-4 in conference play.

Santa Clara is now 6-25 on the season.
