2012 Season Recap: Played 124 sets and had 195 digs with 1.57 digs per set, earned 4.74 assists per set with a total of 588 assists

SOPHMORE YEAR IN 2012: Had 48 assists, three service aces, two kills and 12 digs against Montana State (Aug. 25) … had 23 assists, two service aces and seven digs against Utah (Aug. 31) … had 26 assists and six digs against UC Davis (Sep. 1) … had 26 assists, three service aces and eight digs against San Diego State (Sep. 14) … had 26 assists and eight digs against Pepperdine (Oct. 13) … collected 24 assists and six digs against BYU (Oct. 20) ...had 15 assists and 11 digs against Saint Mary's (Oct. 25) ... earned 22 assists, one service ace and 11 digs at San Diego (Oct. 27) ... had 23 assists, four service aces and 10 digs at USF (Nov. 1) ... earned 22 assists adn six digs against Portland (Nov. 3) ... had 18 assists, one service ace and seven digs against USF (Nov. 8) ... had 11 assists at BYU (Nov. 10) ... earned 17 assists and six digs against LMU (Nov. 15) ... had 11 assists and six digs at Saint Mary's (Nov. 17) ... earned 14 assists and two digs against Hawaii (Nov. 30)

 FRESHMAN YEAR IN 2011: (at Marquette University): Had a phenomenal freshman campaign for the Golden Eagles … was the 2011 Big East Conference Freshman of the Year and a member of the All-Big East Second-Team … the 2011 AVCA Northeast Region Freshman of the Year and a 2011 AVA All-Northeast Region selection … received an Honorable Mention for the 2011 AVCA All-America Team … garnered Big East Freshman of the Week honors five times … made the Hawkeye Challenge All-Tournament team … ranked No.7 nationally in assists per set with 11.89 … No.2 on Marquette’s single season assists ranks with 1,498 … lead her team to the Round of 32 and was knocked out by NCAA Runner-Up Illinois.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-time letter-winner at San Clemente High School where she served as captain her senior season … high school coaches were Rob O’Rear and Casey Swenson … led her team to a conference championship her senior season and an overall record of 28-5 … an All-South Coast League First-Team member her junior and senior seasons … named the South Coast League MVP as a senior … had a school record 3,051 career assists as well as single season assist record with 1,058 in her final year as a Triton. 

CLUB EXPERIENCE: Played for the Saddleback Valley Volleyball Club … club coaches were Kelly Mulvany and Ki Yi … participated in the 2011 USAV Junior Olympics.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Brad and Gwen Heier … father played football at Fresno State and her mother ran track there as well … has two older sisters, Ashley (25) and Meagan (21) … a Liberal Studies major who wants to be an elementary school teacher.
