MALIBU, Calif. (AP) - Tashaan Forehan-Kelly scored 21 points and Kingsley Costain added 16 off the bench as Pepperdine beat Santa Clara 65-45 Monday night.
In a game where both teams struggled in the first half, Pepperdine (6-12, 2-4 West Coast Conference) found its rhythm in the second to end a three-game losing skid, outscoring the Broncos (8-9, 1-4) 41-28 after the break.
Freshman John Bryant scored a career-high 16 points to go with nine rebounds to lead Santa Clara.
The Broncos' 45 points and 27.1 shooting percentage were both season lows.
Pepperdine made just 24.1 percent of their shots to Santa Clara's 20.8, for a 24-17 lead at the break.
Pepperdine then went 8-for-11 to start the second half and Santa Clara made nine of its first 15.
But the Broncos later went without a field goal for nearly five minutes while Pepperdine went on a 19-7 run that put the game out of reach 58-41 with 6:11 left.
