SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University Department of Athletics and Recreation and local radio station KNTS-AM (1220), a Salem Communications (Nasdaq: SALM) station, have agreed to extend its two-year broadcast relationship that will provide Bronco athletics fans radio coverage of its basketball programs.
Every Santa Clara men's basketball game during the 2005-06 season will be broadcast live on KNTS-AM or on the Internet through the department's official athletic website at www.SantaClaraBroncos.com. Selected games could also be selected for broadcast by Sirius Satellite Radio through an agreement between SCU Athletics and the West Coast Conference.
Through its long-term agreement with the CSTV Online, for the fifth-straight season every game will be streamed live through the popular Broncos All Access. The broadcasts will be engineered and distributed by KNTS-AM, while popular play-by-play announcer Dave Lewis will return this season for his 11th season as the voice of the Broncos.
In addition to the live game broadcasts, KNTS-AM will provide a number of promotional elements for Bronco athletics throughout the season and will receive exposure and hospitality opportunities at Bronco basketball events.
