KAHUKU, Hawaii - The Santa Clara University men's golf team finished its fall season with a 14th place finish at the University of Hawaii Fall Invitational Tuesday afternoon at the Turtle Bay Golf Resort in Kahuku, Hawaii.
As a team the Broncos fired a final round 312 which dropped them one spot following Monday's first two rounds. Depite finishing behind Portland and San Francisco, the Bronco did gain a small measure of revenge as they came in one stroke ahead of Saint Mary's who beat Santa Clara in a playoff during last week's SCU Invitational.
Michael Nicoletti was the top finisher for the Broncos, ending the tournament in a tie for 22nd with his two day total of 5-over par, 221. Jonathan Edwards was the second best finisher for the Broncos with his three round total of 11-over par, 227.
Matt Klenz finished in a tie for 70th after a final round 80 that moved his tournament total to 20-over par, 236. Justin Ahasic finished in a tie for 79th with a 239 total, while Vincent Aicale rounded out the Bronco scoring with a two day total of 247 which placed him in a tie for 87th.
The University of Hawaii Fall Invitational was the final competitive tournament for the Broncos until the Spring season begins at the Sacramento State Invitational in early March.
