SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Senior golfer Scott Lowe became the first Bronco to earn West Coast Conference Men's Golf All-Academic Team recognition in three consecutive seasons after being honored by the league office.
The only senior on the roster to finish the season, Lowe showed his leadership both on and off the course. The Calgary, Alberta product competed in all 33 rounds this season tying for the team lead in par or better rounds with 10 while placing third with a 73.97 average.
He earned his second career top-5 finish when he posted a personal-best 54-hole score of 207 (-6) to tie for fifth place at the 2013 SCVB Pacific Invitational in November. Lowe also had three top-20 finishes in 2013-14 and ended his career with eight playing in 37 tournaments.
An accounting major, Lowe has excelled in the classroom as well. His 3.75 GPA is the highest among all student-athletes selected to the 2013-14 WCC Men's Golf All-Academic Team.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
