INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Committee has selected Dallas to host the 2002 and 2004 Men's College Cup and Columbus, Ohio, as host of the 2003 Men's College Cup. The NCAA Division I Championships/Competition Cabinet has approved the sites.
The 2002 Men's College Cup, which includes two national semifinal matches and the championship game, will be played December 13 and 15 at Gerald J. Ford Stadium. The 2004 event will be played December 11 and 13. Dallas has not previously hosted the men's soccer championships, but will host the 2001 Women's College Cup and the 2003 Division I Women's Volleyball Championship.
The 2003 Men's College Cup, which will be played on December 12 and 14, will be Crew Stadium's second in four years. The 2001 event is scheduled at Crew Stadium on December 14 and 16. Like this year's Men's College Cup, the 2003 event will be hosted by the Columbus Crew, Ohio State University and the Greater Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau.
