SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Broncos men's water polo team will travel down to Los Angeles this week for the WWPA Championship tournament hosted by Loyola Marymount. The Broncos received the No. 5 seed and will kick off the tournament play, taking on host No. 4 seed LMU on Nov. 21 at 12:15 pm.

The Broncos and the Lions matched up earlier this season on Oct. 31 at the Sullivan Aquatic Center. The Lions were able to out score the Broncos early in the game, giving them the 10-7 win.

Junior Milutin Mitrovic scored five of the Lions goals in that game. Mitrovic falls second in goals for the Lions with 21, tailing junior Emmanuel Di Stasio who has 25.

Mark Davis, Evan Chang and Richard Daly all received conference honors this season. Davis leads the Broncos with 52 goals, earning him First Team All-Conference, Evan Chang leads with 60 earned ejections, giving him Second Team and Daly landed a spot on the All-Freshman team.

Depending upon the outcome of this game, the Broncos will either advance on and play in the semifinal game against the No. 1 seed UC San Diego on No. 22 at 11:15 am or play for fifth place on Nov. 23 at 9:30 am against the loser of the No. 3 Air Force vs. No. 6 California Baptist game.

The winner of the WWPA tournament will receive and automatic bid to the NCAA tournament which will be hosted by UC San Diego this year and will begin on Dec. 6.
