Busy Week on Tap for Men's Water Polo

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's water polo begins a stretch of five games in five days on Wednesday when it meets Fresno Pacific in a Western Water Polo Association contest.

The Broncos (3-6, 0-2) will face off against the Sunbirds (4-11, 0-3) at 6:30 p.m. in Sunnyside Aquatics Center.

Santa Clara is coming off an 18-13 loss at Air Force on Saturday. Mac Carey and Shane Hughes each had three goals for the Broncos.

Fresno Pacific has won its last four games. The Sunbirds won all four games at last weekend's Gary Troyer Tournament in Claremont, California.

The Broncos defeated Fresno Pacific, 17-11, in last year's matchup.

On Friday, Santa Clara opens play in Stanford's annual Mountain Pacific Invitational, facing No. 2 UCLA. The Broncos have two games on Saturday and one on Sunday.
