This Week
Santa Clara's women's basketball (15-5, 6-2 WCC) sits in a three-way tie for first place and faces the other two teams that are tied with them at the top this weekend. The Broncos travel to Southern California for back-to-back games, taking on Loyola Marymount on Friday in Los Angeles and Pepperdine on Saturday in Malibu. Both games will begin at 7 p.m.

Garrison Named WCC Player of the Month for January
Santa Clara senior forward Annie Garrison was named the West Coast Conference's Player of the Month for January, the league announced on Tuesday. Garrison averaged 15.1 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game as the Broncos rolled to a 7-1 record last month. She scored in double figures six times and notched two double-doubles. One of those was a 16-point and career-high 18-rebound performance against Loyola Marymount that helped her earn Player of the Week honors for Jan. 15. She also scored her 1,000th career point in a 25-point, 10-rebound performance at San Francisco. Garrison shot more than 80 percent from the floor in five of Santa Clara's eight games, and 67.2 percent for the month, and was 79.5 percent from the free throw line. She ended the month as the WCC's leader in field goal percentage and blocked shots during conference play, as well as the second-leading scorer and third-leading rebounder.

Follow the Broncos Live on the Internet
Santa Clara now offers fans a live Internet audio broadcast on www.SantaClaraBroncos.com for all women's regular-season games. This new feature to the women's program began with the Jan. 2 game against Columbia. Dan Harrington is in his first season as the voice of the Broncos. Additionally, the Broncos' home-opener against Maryland on Dec. 27 marked the launching of a new feature that allows fans to follow each home game with a live statistical tracker. Fans can receive real-time updated statistics direct from the official courtside scoring computer for the team's remaining three home contests, allowing users to listen to the audio broadcast and keep up with the statistics simultaneously.
