On the game
"We were a little sluggish in the first half. They got off to a really good start. They were playing it really easy, taking a lot of threes and quick shots... it seemed like we didn't get a chance to set our defense too much. We picked up the press a little bit and forced them into some turnovers, so that was a good thing. I felt like once we got ourselves going, got our transition going, Julie and Kendra came in and pushed the tempo by running the floor hard. Our guards were able get it up ahead. We got some good lift off a lot of different kids off the bench, so I was really happy about that."
On the bench play
"Our three sophomore forwards came off the bench and combined for 30 points, which says a little bit about our future and I'm excited about that."
Santa Clara forward Julie Butler (10 points)
"The first half was a little shaky on our defensive part. At halftime, we just decided to come out and play basketball. And we did. We got everybody on the floor. It was a great half."
On Gonzaga's Jessica Malone
"I wouldn't say it was our philosophy to let her go. We were trying to stop her, but she's a great player. We had a lot of people guarding her. She just had a great night."
On returning to home state of Washington with five teammates
"It's great to back in Washington. It's nice and snowy and rainy, what I'm used to. The families are all here. And they're driving down to Portland on Saturday. We have a great following in the Pacific Northwest."
