SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara women's golf head coach Polly Schulze announced the signing of two players to National Letters of Intent during this spring's signing period. The Class of 2005 will include Jessica Lamberty of Pasadena and Kelley Wendorff of Hutchinson, Minn.

The two additions bring the total number of newcomers to the program in the fall to four. Schulze signed Anne Bowden of Santa Cruz and Courtney Dimpel of Aptos during last November's signing period.

"This class will be coming in with a hunger for success," Schulze said. "Along with our current players, these four will create a solid foundation to move the women's golf program toward national prominence."

Although Lamberty attended the Westridge School, she did not play on the school's team and was instead coached privately by Jon Pariseau at Altadena Golf Course. Last summer, Lamberty averaged 81 strokes per round while winning the Paradise Knolls Junior Championship and recording eight other top-five finishes.

Wendorff played at Hutchinson High School where her team was the two-time section team champion and placed sixth at state competitions in 1998 and '99. She is a three-time Minnesota All-State team member while also being named to the Missota All-Conference team three straight years. Wendorff averaged 81 strokes per round during her prep career, with her lowest competitive round a 74. She was also the Missota Individual Conference Champion.
