Women's Golf in Fifth at Lady Matador Fall Classic

OXNARD, Calif. - The Santa Clara women's golf team is currently in fifth place after the first round of the Lady Matador Fall Classic.

Hosted by CS Northridge at the River Ridge Golf Club, the two-day tournament covers 36 holes. River Ridge is a par-73 layout measuring 5,927 yards.

Santa Clara shot a round of 338 and sits 21 strokes behind Portland, who is leading the six-team tournament. Redshirt freshman Jessica Monson is in a three-way tie for third after shooting a five-over-par 78, and is just one stroke behind the leaders.

The Broncos will close out the fall season with the final round of the Lady Matador Fall Classic, tomorrow morning.
